Imperial Majesty Cruise Line Vacations, Plaza Resorts, Ramada Vacation Club
The Most Unethical, Deceptive, Fraudulent Scam Out There

My heart sank when as soon as my materials came in the mail and I finished reviewing them. A dreaded disgusting scam to sell a timeshare; the exact thing denied. I was within the time period to cancel, but no one would allow me to do that when I contacted the customer care department at 1-800-203-9783 on 8/9/08 to request an immediate refund for all fees related to this purchase.

I was placed on hold a total of (7) seven times during this contact with customer service. I was disconnected three times. Also, when on hold, the line is completely silent, without any sound of any kind. This is probably purposeful in helping suckers feel as though the line has gone dead and hoping they will hang up.

After phoning back three times, I spoke with Charles #1080 and Chantel #4044 and later was told to contact the president, Dan Lambert, directly. I thought that this was some sort of joke, but these clowns were absolutely serious about not honoring my legal request for a refund.

I explained to both customer service representatives that at time of purchase, I repeatedly I asked the phone telemarketers if this was a time share/vacation club. The solicitors denied that this was a time share/vacation club. During the verification process, I interrupted the speech twice to ask if this was related to any timeshare of any type and all parties denied this.

This company fraudulently misrepresented this scam, denying that this package was related to a time share/vacation club and would require a tour/presentation/obligation to enjoy it. I figured that this was taped and recorded so it had to be a legit offer.

When I was speaking with Chantel #4044, she stated that she would review the verification tapes and return the call to me at my home number. Customer Service/Chantel phoned my home after three hours. She left a voice message requesting that I return the call to Ramada Plaza Resorts. The phone number showing on caller id was 943-630-9449 / the phone number offered was 1-800-203-9783.

When Chantel phoned, she stated that there was no verification tape available so my story could not be proven. During this phone call, Chantel stated that verification tape was unavailable, as it was saved for only 30 business days, not counting Sundays or Holidays days before being moved from in house.

When asking where the verification tapes were kept after this time period, she stated that they were destroyed. She was snide and rudely dismissive when she offered the presidents contact information, but she knew something I didn't know: the fax numbers do not work and the email link does not work.

Two days ago I sent a copy of a letter demanding a refund, within seven days, through certified and return receipt mail. My next step is to sue them through my local court system.

I am disgusted! I prayed with Chantel #4044, and Charles #1080, that no one would prey on their family members the way that I was preyed upon. I am a single mother who works hard to support her children and do right by them. I believe in doing good. These people do not.

How can parasites like this be stopped if what they are doing is deceptively stealing from consumers? We must advocate for honest business practices.

Good thoughts to all of you.
