Charlotte Singles (Parent Company Premiere Singles Aka Ultimate Singles, aka Ultimate Introductions
Charlotte Singles) taking advantage od Charlottians

In march of I went to the charlotte Singles office as I was looking for a change from the other types of online dating web sites. Essentially, I was told that Charlotte Singles was an elite dating service. It was different from others in that every client/member was hand pick and screened. As this sounded like something i was interested in as a busy preofessional, i entered into a 6 month contract for a fee of 1500.00, paid upfront by credit card.

I did not get access to the website until April 4th, which was outside of the 3 day window in NC to break a contract. I did a thorough search of the web site and found that the members were no diffrernt than the ones you would find on any other online site, except i paid 1500.00 for what was supposed to be an elite service. What was even more appalling was after opening several emails that were sent to me, I started receiving phone calls from other members I had not give permission to contact me, all because i 'opened' an email to read.

I tried for 2 weeks total trying to speak with someone in the charlotte office and in their customer relations office, located in Dallas Texas. The only thing I received for my efforts was a couple of emails from the office staff in charlotte, pointing the "9" members I should like. I was also spoken too in a very insulting, condecending and disrespectful tone of voice with everyone I spoke to.

I realized I would get no where with this company.in the interim, I have filed a coplaint with Better Business Burea of Charlotte, which went unanswered. I have also tried, unsucessfully, to go to my credit card company for recourse. After 2 rounds of compalints, they tell me there in nothing else they can do for me, and the 1500.00 charge stays on my card.

Capital one says I signed a contract, but I have tried to point out that Charlotte Singles and their parent company, have violated there own contract, by giving out members contact information without explicit consent.

The service they claimed to provide was also lacking and certainly not worth 15.00 never mind 1500.00. There was nothing elite about this company or the service they claim to provide.

I am looking for options to get my money back, but I am afraid I have been taken by a pro, as it seems this company, under other names, may have been taking advantage of unsuspecting people since 2003.

Is there anyone else in Charlotte, or nationwide who has gone through the same ordeal? Has anyone found any resolution? Is there any legal recourse???

If there is any one out there, please help
