I went to a Real Estate seminar for what I thought was a reputable company. At the end of course there were several item they wanted attendees to purchase. They gave us a form to fill out for a merchant account and 3 days to fax in a cancellation. I faxed it in.
The next thing I knew several months later there was money coming out of my account for a company called IPayment - the company originally was ECommerce. I actually don't know who the company is on my bank statement it says Duvera. I called to cancel and was told they never received my fax and it would cost me $99 to cancel the account.
I was in the process of moving and everything was packed. After several months when I finally moved into my new house I saw on my account Duvera and wondered what that was.
The company had now switched to Duvera, but they have some sort of fee that is billed by IPayment. I tried getting in touch with them and they told me they could not cancel without the permission of ECommerce. I have frozen the acct with the Bank and have tried calling ECommerce and they have a recording that says they are out of the office.
They have now received $748.25 for something I cancelled. I want this account cancelled and I want my money back.
