On 8-01-08 at 10pm, my vehicle was towed from a lot which was not clearly marked as private at TA Truck Stop to Frankford Towing. A call was placed to identify if the vehicle was at Frankford Towing following a call to report the vehicle stolen; the attendant refused to identify himself and to state rather the vehicle was there or not.
After determining that my vehicle was towed from TA Truck Stop, a cab was taken to Frankford at a cost of $25.00 to retrieve my vehicle. I was given a bill of $250.00! When I questioned the amount, the attendant stated that is what it costs and would or could not break it down. I then had to wait until the tow truck driver returned and put air in my two driver's side tires.
Following the driver's return, I was told that he was new and knew nothing about putting air in the tires. Aren't tow truckers required to have CDLs???
After his failed attempt to put air in the tires and his call to another to learn that he needed to jack the vehicle to put air in the tires, the car was released to me. I questioned him if he had checked the amount of air he put in the tires. Here again, he stated his lack of knowledge. Is this safe to put an undetermined amount of air in two tires and send a someone down the road at what is now 4am on 08-02-08!?
Further neither person would identify themselves or the manager!
