I wish I had access to RipOff report in 2001 when I purchased a spa from Cal Ventures at the Seattle Home Show. The tub was delivered in the wrong panel color, the heater broke, and the 5 year warranty they touted at the show was not valid on Home Show sales needless to say Cal Spas of California would not honor the warranty and asked us to work with the dealer. What a crack! That cost us $600 to have someone work on the electrical control board.
The dealer (jim) is the most unresponsive individual I have ever done business with. When the wrong colored tub arrived he said it was our fault and we should live with it even though we clearly ordered a grey tub to match our grey deck. We also never got an extra filter and $150 refund due to the tub being damaged (side panel) of course we never saw either of these items.
It is amazing that this operation is still in business. There are many reputable spa businesses out there please research these and save yourself the headaches of working with Cal Ventures.
