The family owned Minimus company run by Jews have a pretty neat idea for selling travel sized items, however when it comes to the hard working employee's they pay lousy. I was a Shipper/Packer that was only paid $8.00 a hour, and I worked my tail off thinking one day I will get a raise of some sort. 5 months later after achieving new ship out records and record sales I didn't even receive a dime, let a lone not even a review which I was promised after 3 months of working there.
After being trained as a Shipper/Packer my trainer informed me to look out for food products which expire and pull them from the shelves, however after getting new employee's and shippers I noticed that they were careless and have shipped numerous orders to customers worldwide even though the products have been expired or will expire the next day. The new supervisor didn't seem to care as they shipped out expired goods. At times I was threatened to pay for fragile containers which broke in a shipment I sent out, the owner Ms. Shrater said "I will just take it out of your paycheck.".
I'm not sure if its against the law to use those USPS bins for picking orders, storage, and used as a trash can in the Shipping area but Minimus uses those regularly. They have hundreds of those bins in the warehouse for storing products in.
Minimus works with 2 other companies one of them is Soldiers Angels, a nonprofit organization founded by Patti Patton-Bader. They support our troops by sending care packages, letters, cards, etc. The organization gets donations at least once a week at Minimus with items such as dvds, games, Wii's, Xbox's, coffee makers, clothes, blankets, you get the idea, however employee's have notice that the owners take home some of those items for there grandchildren or for there own benefit NOT the soldiers. Mainly Shal and that Project Manager lady who throws a fit if she can't make someone else do things for her (A.D.D.?).
After working with the Project Manager, she works with Soldiers Angels and I have found out several orders which they were selling items which were donated for the Soldiers and used for the Minimus company. I understand it is a nonprofit organization but if thats the case why is it that they are making money selling donated items which are supposed to be for the Soldiers? I've seen a lot of blankets donated from Churches and they were paid for and shipped out for the benefit of Minimus. First of all who do they think they are to think they have the authority to take that money from someone kind enough to donate to our soldiers. Selfish? Greedy? Not American!
If that's not enough, Shal, the manager tells me to go to the new building they are moving into, I found out I never got paid for driving my car to and from that site. They had me do assignments and duties which I wasn't originally hired for. I also had to unload trucks in 90-100 degrees f all day, with the manager not to seem to care about the employee's health, he just wants the job done. They are so cheap they can't even buy a forklift for these kind of truck deliveries. They also want the employee's to climb up the high metal shelves which the only safe way to load or unload those racks is with a forklift, but no, they don't care. I found myself catching and or throwing up boxes while another employee is up on the high racks.
One employee received his check to find out that he has some vacation time. The following check received it was taken off due to he was a Part-Time employee, and the owners denied any such thing from happening.
Conclusion, Minimus is a good idea for a company but it should be run by someone else who knows how to properly maintain it. As of now its run by greedy, uneducated individuals.
