I worked for Central Transport for 15 months. Out of those 15 months my paycheck was short by atleast 10 hours on numerous occasions. I was never paid overtime and I always worked 50 to 55 hours a week.
I worked afternoons and always recieved my paycheck on Thursday as did everyone else on that shift. On 06/10 I was "laid off" due to lack of work. When I applied for unemployement, Central fought it and said I was "fired" for recieving my paycheck on Thursday instead of Friday which Central claims was a violation of company policy. It took 5 weeks but the Unemployement Insurance Agency stated that I was not fired for a "deliberate disregard of your employers interest". I recieved unemployement as I should have and I am looking into recieving overtime pay that is due to me. If anyone has information about overtime laws please contact me.
Thank you.
