Same story. Ordered and was immediately charged by Hopewell Riding Academy. Order confirmed immediately by e-mail.
Nothing arrived. Tried to call both Hometown Candy (no answer) and Hopewell Riding Academy (phone disconnected). Finally, the day after I told them I needed the candy, and in response to several e-mails, I received e-mail confirmation of shipment by priority mail, i.E., they generated a fake label, supposedly sent 7/11/08.
I disputed the charge with Hopewell Riding Academy to my credit card because I did no business with them. As soon as the bank inquired, they refunded my money. I even received an e-mail telling me that they were giving me a refund (which they did) because the item was out of stock. (Funny, I thought it went out in the mail the week before?!)
Thank goodness I found this site (unfortunately after I ordered), and reordered through Amazon and got it in time. What scum to mess with people's weddings, etc., not to mention the just plain old illegal activity.
