I tried to buy candy online with hometowncandy.com on 09-07-08. I received an email saying that their server had crashed, and that they could not process my order unless I sent a check or money order.
So, stupidly, I sent a check with the required information. They cashed the check on 09-12-08, and I have not received candy.in multiple attempts to call and email, I have received no response.
My finance did some research, and found that this company is a scam. I want to warn others, and will continue to pursue this. The good news, I already had a fraud alert on my accounts due to another fraud by one of my creditors.
