Other than the guys who loaded and unloaded the trucks, this mover was the worst I have ever had in my life.
Our move was 500 miles up the East Coast and were originally told (by first guy in office) it would be 3-5 days from pick-up to delivery. The day of pick-up I was told to call the following day to find out what day things would be delivered. When I called that next day, I was then told (by the second guy in the office) it would be 7-10 business days and that they had no idea yet how much our things weighed! They had not weighed the truck before and after pick-up.
I called on a daily basis to find out when our things would be delivered and each day was told... We don't know yet when we will have a truck coming up your way - even though we had been told there were trucks to New England on a daily basis.
The guys in the office kept stringing us along with lies about when our things would arrive (no truck coming our way, not enough space, etc). At one point, they told us our shipment (for a 1-bedroom apartment with no appliances) was 8000 pounds! The final amount they gave us was 6200 pounds yet when the truck was reweighed before and after delivery, it was 7100 pounds, which proves they did not weigh it properly!
The company did not give us a written estimate until 2 days before our things arrived. Neither did they ever give us the pamphlet about our rights and responsibilities - I found it on their website! It had lots of important information - be sure you always get one when you move!
Since our things sat in their warehouse for nearly 2 weeks, everything was filthy dirty when it arrived!
When all was said and done, we had to spend 13 nights in a hotel for a move of 500 miles and takes only 10 hours to drive! At one point when I asked when things would arrive and that we were having to spend so many nights in a hotel, they said "You can stay in your new apartment" - however... They had all of our furniture and clothing!
I asked for a discount since we had to stay so long in the hotel and they wouldn't even consider it!
If you are wise... You will NEVER use Green Wheels Mover out of Baltimore for your move! In my opinion, they are the worst in the world!
