06/19 cricket was advertising on tv a $29.99 phone with first month free. I called and purchase the phone but was inform that the phone really cost $49.99. I agree to purchase the phone knowning that i was told by sales rep i will received a rebate. I order the $40 plan. I asked for another cheaper price but was told this is what come with the phone.
06/24 may package arrive, when i looked into the box i notice a bill for $84.01. I immediately called the customer service and asked them to explain the high bill. I explain to them that the sales rep did not mention anything as far as the hidden fees and the return policy. I called them back and forth for 8 1/2 hours nonstop begging someone to listen to me. However, i continued to call cricket customer service. Then finally a man answer the phone and tried to program the phone but was unableand said it was a glitch in the phone. I asked to cancelled the service because of all the confusing.
Then i called back to asked another question, another man answer the phone and he too tried to program the phone by having me to press service different button. I notice the telephone after three minutes start burning my ears. I notice another phone number was already stored in the telephone. I asked the rep is this phone a refurbished phone? He avoided my quetion. He to was unable to program the phone after trying for an 1 1/2 hour, then his phone hung up on me. Everybody i spoke with during the course of that day phone was disconnected from me. Now isn't that strange for that to happen almost every single time i called.
Finally, i had enough so i called back around 7:40pm and asked the young lady can she please just disconnect this phone because for one, i was charges all of these hidden fees that i did not authorized, the telephone burns my ears after holding it to your head over 3 minutes, and the phone was mot able to connect, because of some glitch or something the rep quoted to me.
She said okay but we are going to have to pay your own money to send our phone back to us. I was totally disgusted at that point. Not only cricket charges all of those fees to my charge card, they sent me a defected phone that burns my ears, then they won't me to pay to shipped the phone back to them, eventhough the phone was a defect. I wish someone can help me straighten out this sick matter. I cricket seriously need to be written up for they wrongdoings.
