Beware, PayPal took a very dishonest way to cheat me. Clearly they devised a trap for me.
I bought an Xbox 360 system console on eBay and paid $197.25. But, I did not receive it. I received a used DVD disk in a broken case.
When I filed a complaint, they asked for a police report to be submitted within 10 days, even without asking for any other proof. I paid additional $40.00 for the police report. I have a confirmation email from eBay saying that "I am covered upto $315 at no additional cost".
At the first place, they were not supposed to ask for a police report before investigating anything at all. The packing list, customs declaration and packaging were enough. Even they did not ask for any of them.
As, it was taking longer time for police investigation, I called them for time extension. They extended the time.in the mean time they denied my claim saying "there is no significant difference between an "Xbox 360 system console" and a "DVD disk".
They denied my claim before the extended time was expired. I faxed the police report when I received it. Now, they are saying that, I did not submit the police report within 10 days, so, they can not accept my appeal.
I appealed more than 20 times, but it did not work.
I contacted eBay many times, they were enjoying the cheating.
