Summer of 2007 i bought a laptop on dell online for $850. I paid through their dell financial account, which i got approved for online. I set up an automatic payment that would take out $100 each month until my balance was paid off. When i finally had only about $13 left to pay on my balance, they took out the $13.68 and my balance was 0.
However the next month after my last payment of $13.68, they took out another $100.00. I called them as soon as i saw that they had taken it out of my checking account. They said they would send me a refund check and claimed that was the only way they could refund anything, through check by mail. They said about 6 to 7 business days. We never received the check. This same scenario repeated itself about 4 to 5 times in the past two months.in my last phone call to them, the representative's explanation for our not receiving the check yet was because we had spoken to a "false department" that they are not associated with. However, i called the same number i've been using since i first ordered the computer. Our bank even told us that it was a legal issue we would have to talk with dell about. Horrible horrible horrible experience, and the worst part is that we now cannot even speak to them because we no longer have an account and we cannot get through to customer service.
