Per only one other report that I have seen at this site, we too were ripped off of nearly $80.00 spent on two (2) subscriptions to magazines on 12/14. The sales "agent" was Jacob Macone - DOB 07/23/1982 (at least that's what it says on our receipts). Some other receipt text includes:
"No verbal agreement recognized. No checks will be held. All checks will be deposited within 3-5 business days. We are not affiliated with any local High School or College."
"allow 90 to 120 days for delivery."
I haven't called the number that I have found on this site and one other yet (940-365-0089), but I will.
Better yet, though, is that I have family in the Dallas/FW area and this joint is just east of Denton (according to Google Maps). So, I just might have to physically track them down and let everyone know what I find.
Not too big of a deal for us, really, since we claimed the $78.00 on our 2007 taxes as charitable contributions. But knowing that they simply are ripping people off is annoying.
