Titan Marketing
Piker!

After you..., Welcome to Titan Marketing Group Inc., Congratulations on making it to your 2nd-round interview today, I gotta' tell you, Kyle sat down with about 45 interviews yesterday and only called back 6 people for a 2nd-round. Kyle must have saw something in you that makes you a great fit for our company. I am so excited to be working with you today. Today I am going to show you how to make $100 to $200 bucks today! Please keep in mind this is a Management Training Program, so today I am going to be evaluating your people skills, student mentality; meaning ask me a ton a questions, I'm looking to see what seperates you from the other candidates that are also looking to work here as well, because there are only 1 to 2 positions Kyle is looking to fill by the end of the day. Now, you have a second copy of your resume correct? You have your schedule open until 6:30pm right? Ok are you currently employed?...

Recognize this? This is the begining of a 2nd-round Interview that a Training Manager/Account Executive/"Leader, " is trained to say in the first 5 minutes of meeting a new guy/girl that is looking for a job. I went on my Day of Observation a few months ago and decided to give it a shot. On my Day of "O" my "Leader" took me out on the Creations Salon and Day Spa campaign. We went business to business with intent to sell this certificate to whoever was excited enough to purchase it for themsleves, or for gifts for others. At the time that we were going B to B, I did not realize or know that Solicitation was illegal! I thought it was a joke, and it was a nice way people just saying they were not interested in talking to us and wanted us to leave the business, in which we did so if asked.

Now on my Day of "O" I was wondering how the hell did this guy have so much energy to walk so fast because for 1 thing I could not keep up with him and the 2nd thing my feet were killing me right away after about 4 hours into it and we had to take a lunch. At this time we had something called The Lunchtime Breakdown, to go over pay as well as thier breakdown of how this Management System was going to work. There was a so called 4 phases to Management, Kyle alread being used as the example is in the 4th phase of the business, running his own company. First phase is the Entry Level, now in this phase you are expected to have high student mentality, self-managment, as well as learn the "system" behind the madness and why it works. You are expected to make anywhere between $300-$500 cash daily per week. After 3 to 6 weeks you earn yourself into the Second phase as a Training Manager (Sounds like a great promotion, they do not tell you that you need to Average 40 promotion drops a week consistently for 2 to 3 weeks straight to get promoted or 3 big bells 3 days in a row, and that means that you sold 15 promos a day 3 days in a row) "Leader, " you are expected to make $400-$700 per week cash, and you are expected to Conduct 2nd-round Interviews, be able to train and develop others to get your self promoted to Assistant Managment anywhere between 6-12 months. Now in the third phase as an Assistant Manager your earning is $800 per week; you are to learn the financials side of the business; Conduct 1st and 3rd-round interviews; Work directly with the Account promotions represenative; Do the Recruitment side of the business as well such as update ads on job sites; Learn Secretary part of the business as well; Work with the Manager to get ready to run your own company.in the last phase is Management, where you are in charge of everything from, getting the clients signed to your company to doing Assistant Management duties to keep your business running. This breakdown takes about 30 minutes to be explained and written down.

What they do not tell you on your Day of "O" which would be information overload is that in the 2nd phase there is qualifications met to get to Assistant Management. You need hit a sales goal of selling 400 promotions in 2 weeks in a row with your team, and it cannot be done by yourself. Your team meaning you need to have 5 Leaders, and 1 "2nd generation" Leader. Which means you need to train atleast 5 people to get them great at the system and get them to Leadership and in turn 1 of these people need to develop a leader of their own if they know the system well enought by that point. As a Leader you need to take out about anywhere from between 50 to 250 interviews in this 6 to 12 month period. First before you can even take out an Interview, your day worked before you need to have sold a minimum of 10 promotions to earn an interview, aka, "Setting the pace, " the day before, and that means you earned yourself anywhere from $100 to $150 bucks the day before you take out an Interview. They also do not tell you that as a Leader in the company you are expected to average 60 promotion drops per week in order get an Interview the following Monday. So you need your numbers in sales drops to be high as they can be! Now for Interviewing you need to know right away that not everyone is going to be crazy enough to start the job and try it.

The truth is that if Kyle sits down with 45 people, they are All called back, its that only 6 to 8 people actually was excited to come back in for the second round interview, and of those 6 to 8 people that actually go on their Day of "O, " only 1 or 2 really stay all the way throughout the day and really want it, to try it for their own reasons. People that do go out on their day of "O" are forced into starting the next day and they do this by something called Fear of Loss of the FUGI factors, by saying to them if they are not able to start right away they most likely might not be able to beat out the other candidates to get the position with the company. Its a mind game. Now regardless or not if they get the job or not to the Manager its a Law of Averages if the person starts or not, they don't actually care if they do start or not because they really do sit down with close to 50 people a day, the same Law of Averages is the same for people going B to B, they don't know who will purchase their promos unless they talk to as many people as possible.

Now the hours are rough, New Starts are to be in the office at 7:30am, Leaders are in the office at 7am, and do not hit the field (go out and sell) until about 9:30am, and are told to be back at the office by about 6:00pm. New Starts were sent home by 6:30pm. On a good night everything is taking care of by 7:15pm to 7:30pm, and you can go home, but alot of the time we were there until 8:00pm, sometimes until 8:30pm. Now I lived an hour from the office, so I left my house about 6am, which means I woke up around 5:15am, and did not get home until about 9:00pm-9:15pm.By the time I got home, I was so tired, I only had enough energy to eat food, and get to sleep before having to wake up and return back to the office. This was the schedule Monday to Friday, and Saturday start time was 9am, and finish was about 6:00pm. Sundays we are off. I think that the hours are still rough even if I lived 15-30 minutes away from the office.in the morning there is a ton of teaching, going over things like 4 factors of impulse, 5 steps to a Conversation, or Rehash tactics.

Also in the morning the meetings that are given by Kyle are most times inspirational, and at other times kind of crazy talking about if you don't enjoy what your doing being in business for yourself you are better off going to be a piker (quote taken from the movie Boiler Room). The meetings consisted of why what we are doing is so much better than going to work for another employer that will only give you a 2% yearly raise where if you get Management you make your own raises by promting outside deals, and by pushing yourself to be your own number 1 office in the country when Kyle is not even the best example of some of the things he promotes. Is that considered something like a cult like activity to keep you to stay but at the same time you want to kurse out your boss for giving his meeting in the first place. Its called an LOA, if can neg you out or not, or is he trying to get you to compete and beat out the rest of the office to your own outside deal? When he only has 3 himself. If you divide up the hours by how much you made in a week, you could work for McDonalds and make the same amount of money in less time worked. However they say in their morning meetings that with all of your time worked, and the money that you put in their pocket for slaving yourself to get people excited to purchase the stuff you got to sell, the cash goes toward an investment that the Manager will put toward your investment to open you up in another city.

The sad part about the whole thing is that Kyle gets paid good if you have a bad or a good day. He is the supplier of your certificates that you sell. Kyle is supplied by Smart Circle. The promotions that are going business to business are Philadelphia, and NJ Enjoy the City coupon books that are logo'ed end teamed up with D.A.R.E. America, Philadelphia Soul, Philadelphia Phantoms, Philadelphia Wings, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Fish Company, City Lights Cruises, New York Yankees, Philly Golf, Poco Loco Paintball, Alot of different kinds of Salon and Day Spas, Victoria Jackson Make-up, there is more I cannot remember them all. If you sell a $50 dollar certificate, you make $15 bucks cash per promotion sold, if you sell a $40 certificate, you make $14 bucks cash per promotion sold, if you sell a $30 certificate you make $11, sometimes $10 bucks per promotion sold, if you sell a $25 certificate you make $10 bucks per promotion sold. Kyle gets paid what you get paid on every promotion that is sold, some of the promos he makes the same, and some of the promos he gets a smaller cut than you but its still a good payout considering if there is 30 people in the office going out there into the field and averaging 80 to 120 promos sold a day but the entire office.

Don't get it twisted these promotions do work because I have used them for myself to see if they did! Another sad part about the business is that Kyle is rough in his comments about pretty girls that do great sales numbers, he calls them, "Sales Whores!" Another thing I see people talk about on consumer complaints is that they cry about the gas that they spend day to day. It is true gas prices are crazy high, and the mileage you put on your car will have you get an oil change every month! No joke!

Again this is hard to keep up with considering that you pay about $30 sometimes $40 bucks a day just on gas not to mention tolls if you go in and out of the Philadelphia area to go promote over there, not to forget the fact you get hungry and need to buy your lunches almost everyday that you work. The only bonus you get in working for this company is that if you work yourself to the grind hard everyday you might get sent to Dallas for a Top Leaders meeting. When I went to Dallas I met some nice people down there at the Hilton Fort-Worth. It seemed like everyone that was there that is successful with the company somehow made it to Management and went through the same negatives as you going through the field as they called it.

After coming back from Dallas my eyes were looking straight at Kyle wondering why was he not as successful as some of the people down in Dallas? Why did he only have 3 outside deals compared to alot of other people who were in the business in less amount of years and had more outside deals almost reaching 10 if not more? Another thing I wondered is why is it everytime Kyle had an outside deal ready to branch out, why did they have to be Retrained in Miami, Florida, with Kyle's outside Manager Carl Foss, before they were spun out to their own outside deal? I looked at people in Dallas like they were knuckleheads thinking if they could run their outside deal, so can I! However the tough thing about working for Kyle is that he will call any person back for an interview and give them to hard working people that busted their ass for an interview, and have the interview waste the time of a hard working Leader! I hated that so much working for him. I noticed that some people in their consumer complaints talk about getting stopped by police and given fines up to $300.00. I never recieved a fine from police, they tried to give it to me but I was too stubborn to let them talk to me and would keep on walking like I had a hearing problem, but I was nervous when they were giving me warnings about solicatation outside of Philadelphia, and some parts of South New Jersey.in Philadelphia I never had a problem going B to B. Now after all this I did see 2 people get promoted to their outside deals of Kyle's 3 total deals. It is a Rip-Off business in the sense that your are promissed alot of things, it just takes a long time to get promoted out of his office. If you are willing to put in all that time to get it done at the end of the longest marathon of your life, and if you have alot of money to back you up if your sales are not up, then go for it at your own risk. If you are not able to deal with it being performance based commission than this is not the job for you. If you are not able to walk for 7 to 8 hours every day going business to business than this is not the job for you. If you are not able to support yourself financially by keeping up with your car in the gas, and food, than you are not able to do the job.

After being with the company for so many months, longer than I should have stayed I realized that the sales for me was not the problem anymore, I actually got good at building impulse on people to pick up what I had to offer, it was the endurance of the hours spent out of the day, and spending less and less time with my family as the months grown on hurt more and more that started to tear on me. I don't know how people made it to Management with kids and married couples made it through the business.in order to find out how they made it, network with them and get their phone numbers. I am not here to say that it cannot be done, it can be done, it just takes a long time. If you are caught by the police, it is true what they say in the other consumer complaintss, that you do sign a contract that states your are an independent contractor and that you are not an employee of the company, so if you get in trouble they do not, that is true. Good luck to anyone that attempts to be a success at this business!
