I signed a six month lease and then they decided they were going to turn my unit into a temporary rental for $150 per month instead of $1,000 so they sent me eviction papers.
When I said I did not plan on moving without the judge hearing the facts they threatened to have me arrested and told me they would throw my furniture on the street someday when I came home.
I brought my trailer home to start packing and answered the court complaint and they came during the night and put a to be towed sticker on my vehicle. It said it must be moved by 6:00 the next day, at 5:00 while we were getting our kids from school they towed the trailer and my brand new $42,000 truck which was next to it. (The tow truck driver said it was in his way).
Even though I proved to the tow truck driver that I had the right to be at the property, and that the truck was on the lease he refused to release my truck without $120.00 He also did not have his towing sign posted for 24 hours which the florida state statute requires. I then was told that they could have my vehicles towed everyday if they wanted, and now we know why crown-resorts has not evicted anyone in the past two years. They can not be allowed to harrass and torment people like this, people have the right to live in a peaceful environment when they pay their $1,000 per month rent.
I just want my day in court, I don't want to be afraid to leave my house to get my children from school or run my bussiness and fear that my landlord is going to steal my property and hold it for ransom.
