I was ripped off in an Ebay transaction by Ebay seller wubber_ducky, whose real name is Bill J. Walcutt of Portland Oregon and who uses the email address of [email protected].
I agreed to buy 9 antique glass dinner plates from this man through Ebay. After the plates did not arrive, I contacted the seller to ask him to file a claim for the lost shipment, as I had paid extra to have the package fully insured. The seller told me he would file a claim with the Post Office but afterwards for a period of 2 months, kept on telling me that the Post Office was slow in investigating the claim and in settling it. Eventually, he emailed to tell me that the Post Office had located the package but that 5 of the 9 dinner plates had been destroyed, and that he had received all 9 plates, returned to him by the Post Office. He emailed me saying he would give me 4 of the 9 plates that had survived intact for half my purchase price of $230 and would refund the other half ($115) to me. I received the 4 plates but despite many emails and phone calls to this seller, which he did not return, I have not been credited the half of my purchase price he had agreed to refund. Unfortunately, I cannot post negative feedback on Ebay against this seller because more than 60 days have passed since the date of payment. I believe this seller, after realizing that too much time had passed to allow me to post any feedback against him, realized he could get away with keeping the $115 he had promised to credit me, and precisely did that. This seller is dishonest and has ripped me off. I am filing a claim of internet fraud against this person. I have recently checked his feedback on Ebay and have discovered that there have been three negative feedbacks posted against him in recent weeks as follows:
"No item or money back, sellers wrote me that PP hold my money, escaladate claim"
"deadbeat / item never received/filed with paypal/seller not responding to emails"
"Never received purchase. Lost in the mail? Dispute open."
Beware of this seller.
