They call it cramming. Billing services to your phone bill that you more than likely never ordered & didn't want. Between Dec. & Jan. There were over 450 complaints about a company called ILD Teleservices. Theres plenty on the web to read of this company full of rip off artists & who they actually do business for. They do business for the scammers, crammers & rip off artists who plague our society today. They claim only to be a 3rd party doing billing work for those who hire them.
On our phone bill in the past 6 months there have been charges ranging from 16.91 up to 48.99. They have tried to bill us over 3 different times in the past year for numorus services we never ordered. I can say beyond any shadow of doubt we never order these things because we never use our phone bill for anything, we use checks, cash & credit cards & never have & never will charge anything to a phone bill. We keep having to call our phone company to have the charges removed & fight with people to have this BS removed which is very costly time wise & very aggravating & degrading. The people at the phone company seem to hate this company as well do to the fact they are wasting the phone companies time as well for the high volume of calls to remove the bogus charges to peoples bills. What this company does is not free enterprise it is called stealing when you are charged for something you never ordered, doesn't exist, never saw, never used (how could we use a service that doesn't exist).
ILD Teleservices will charge for bogus things such as in our case, Clearer voice mail service, (WHAT A JOKE LMAO) they provide no service it is still just the regular voice mail provided by you phone company. The las time they tried to charge us for Family 911 LCC service WHAT A JOKE AS WELL!
E911 service - emergency 911 service is under 2$ & is a mandated tax here so any one can pick up a phone with a dial tone & get emergency services in the even needed. Tax goes through local, state, county, & Fed. Gov. The don't use third parties.
All in all we here, my wife & I are very distraught over this false charging & you would think the FCC or FTC maybe even the phone company would do something to stop them from these actions like putting them out of business. There are way to many con artists these days as well people shouldn't have to baby sit a phone bill. I've read 1 article that claims you can turn off 3rd party billing & we will try that next. Reporting these things to police, FTC & FCC seems to go no where & still find extra charges on our phone bill every now & again & it is to the point we are ready to give up the home phone all together & just get stick with the cell phone.
The sad part is I know were not alone & theres so many others & what bothers me is that I know there are many people who never check their bills because they are so nieve or don't have the time it takes because their lives are so busy.
How many millions of dollars are being lost by the consumers being ripped of by this company? We thought we had to worry of Nigerian & UK Lotto scams & the scam is right here under our noses & no one seems to be going after them!
