This contractor will cost you more than you bargained for.
In July I contracted with Lazaro Contracting for new windows and two new garage doors. The $8000. Price seemed very fair. I gave Mr. Lazaro a $1500. Deposit. Three weeks later he returned asking for an additional $3500. Stating that the windows and doors were custom made and therefore required a much larger deposit. I gave it to him. As of today, March 6 I have no windows, no garage doors and no refund of my $5000. Deposit. This contractor hides behind a corporate shield in order to avoid payment of lawsuits. His assets are not in his name thus avoiding liens or attachments. He has a checkered history of business operations in New York as well as New Jersey.
If you are considering hiring this contractor, think twice. He could do to you what has done to me and others. Beware!!!
