Randee Carter with Carter Industries called and offered to sale many discounted office supplies to me at a close-out rate due to the fact that the company was closing down and moving into a new business: Tornado Office Systems. She told me that she had spoken with our company CFO and gave me his name and said that he referred her to me since I do the office supply purchasing. She listed many items very rapidly and gave the prices for each. I was very mindful of the prices that she gave me and took notes of everything she said. Although, she didn't want to go into much detail of the pricing, I made it a point to have her repeat the cost per item. (I was a little un-easy about the call, but she told me the name and info of the CFO so I thought it was legit.) After placing an order with her on some of the more popular items that we use, our shipment arrived a few days later. I waited several weeks to receive an invoice and BOY! - it was totally wrong! I was told the cost was per unit (mostly in gross), but the cost reflected per item. That was a Big difference! I've tried several times to reach someone at the number on the invoice, only to receive voice mail each time. I have boxed the items back up to send back to the address on the invoice. I am not paying for the outragiously priced goods. I also found out that she never talked to the CFO. If I receive another invoice after shipping the items back, I will be sure to refer them to this site!
