Mom and I have been writing Congressmen, Governor, County Supervisors, etc. With the following. Allison is getting VERY little sleep, because of the cold and volunteers to work nights in the "Day Room" just to stay warm... UNbelivable.
"Unfortunately my daughter (Allison Allred - Booking No. P382717) is currently incarcerated in Estrella Tent City for DUI, for which she takes full responsibility and knows she deserves it. However, it has come to my attention that there is no heat provided in the tents. This morning it was 28 degrees in Phoenix. I know Sheriff Joe means to run a strict jail with no luxuries, which I understand; however, no heat in those tents in this weather is downright inhumane, and could lead to serious illness among the inmates. I also learned that one of the inmates has pneumonia and hasn't been seen by ANYONE. Additionally, my daugther has a very good job, who will hold her position for another week. She's hoping to get her work furlough started right aw ay and not lose her job, but there has been absolutely NO communication.
Is there anything anyone can do to improve the living conditions at Estrella Tent City?

Anyway, this Egomaniac has gone too far... It's gotten very hard to hang up the phone when I talk to her.
