In reviewing my January credit card statement I came across a $10.65 charge by Senstate Technology for a transaction on 12/21/07. I have never dealt with this company, never ordered anything from them, and had never heard of them until I saw the charge. They do not answer the phone and their website is down. When I did a Google search, use either Sensate Technology or their phone number, I found a 14-page string of similar problems with Sensate.
I have filed a dispute with my credit card company, contacted my state Attorney General, and will be contacting the California Attorney General.
