Wrecked My New Car!

I took my recently purchased 2004 4Runnerr into CarMax (the second car I have bought from them) for warranty work before my 30 days were up for their warranty. They called this morning - they backed it into a pillar. They want to send it for repair at company not even listed in BBB, in whom I have zero confidence and no information. I got the run around all morning, not even a manager bothered to call me. A Service Tech called and I never got a manager on the phone until I called their corporate headquarters in Richmond, VA and got the regional manager on the phone.

Then Fred, the General Manager called my husband to say he would send it to a different shop if we wanted and let him pick form a list he had. Never in all this did we receive so much as an apology or even an apologetic tone from anyone at the Boynton store. They were dismissive and indifferent to our concerns and upset.

They are saying it really doesn't affect the value of my car for it to have to have body work and that they are doing me a "favor" by giving me a car to drive in the meantime. I am... Furious and confused about what I can do in this situation. I insisted on a body shop with at least a b rating by the BBB and that told them I will have it inspected by a diminished value/post repair professional when the repair is completed.

What am I supposed to with a car I brought them in perfectly good condition that now needs an entire new lift gate? What does this mean for my car's trade in value in a few years when I want a new one? They as a business model write down trade ins with any history of damage - how can they claim this is no big deal?
