CPS took my grandson. They thought my daughter had had custody of her son. When he was born, the hospital would not release him until mydaughter sign gaurdianship papers over to me. She did and has continued to renew them every 6 month. They are signed and notorized and dated legal papers. I have guardianship of my grandson. CPS didn't care. They threatened my daughter, by telling her if she didn't give them 72 hours of temp custody so they could have a full body x-ray and a physical done that they would remove her son from the only home he knew. Mine, his grandmother. So, she signed and they left him in my home.
We took him into these two appointments. We had nothing to worry about cuz he is a healthy little boy. The doctor that gave him his physical, said that if they had known that the boy had NEVER lived with his mom, that none of this would of taken place. She promised to write that down in her report.
Now, during this 72 hour temp custody paper, CPS, if they decided to file a petition, they had to do it within that 72 hours. I a petition was not filed then they were to return the child.
Now, mind you they never did remove my grandson. They left him in my home, where he has always lived and was safe at. CPS, must of felt that he was safe here, RIGHT? Otherwise, they wouldn't of left him in my care, RIGHT?
The last 10 hours of the temp custody, that CPS had, they had set up a TEAM DECISION MEETING. At this meeting we could bring family, friends, employeer, anyone that we felt would give us a good reference.
At the time of them to make a decision, which was 2 hours start to finish. They, cps, said out-of-home-placement. WHY? All their test came back perfect. The report from VALUE OPTIONS, they came to my house for 30 minutes one day and evaluated me and my grandson and my home, came back perfect.in fact, the lady that did the report, said she wished all children would have the strong kind of bond that my grandson and I have.
The caseworker, TRACY MILLS, said to me, when she witinessed, the bond that my grandson and I had. She said oh you won't have anything to worry about. The bond that he has with you is one of the strongest bonds she had ever seen.
Anyway, CPS and their TEAM players decided OUT-OF-HOME-PLACEMENT. We, I mean, our friends and family and employeer never got to say what their decision or vote would be. Then our 2 hour time limit was up and we all got up and left the table. Never looking back.
At, 5:30pm CPS calls and tells my daughter, that if she does not hand over her son, that NOBODY would ever be able to see him again. So, she was scared and handed him over.
They promised, that they didn't want to take him from her forever just for awhile. They never gave her a reason. She also told them at the beginning that she signed over gaurdianship to me the day he was born. So she didn't have custody. Still they took him anyway.
My grandson is 15 months old. He had NEVER, spent the night away from home, EVER. He had NEVER had a babysitter other than his aunt. He had NEVER been away from me, EVER in his life.
Tearing him away like they did, for NO REASON, was the worst thing they could of done. They didn't care. Didn't care about my grandson and all of our proof and references that he was mine and NEVER had there been any kind of a report to CPS and no charges were filed. WHYdid they do this to him and to me?
So, 12 hours after the 72 hour temp custody papers had expired, CPS decides to file the petition. Never giving us notice. Filing this petition late, past the 72 hour limit makes their petition INVAILED. RIGHT? The ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE says so and to get my grandson and walk out the door. OUR LAWYER says so, he even asked TRACY MILLS, CASEWORKER, to give him a copy of the petition she filed. She could not do this. He asked her to give him a copy of the COURT ORDER saying that my grandson had to be turned over to them. Cps could not do that either. No petition, no court order, nothing at all. So, we walked out the front door with my grandson and never looked back. NOBODY said a thing to us or tried to stop us. 2HOURS LATER the cops are at my door, demanding to enter my home in order to look for the baby and my daughter. I asked them if they had any paper work from CPS, stating that they had CUSTODY of my grandson, the cops said NO, SORRY THEY HAD NO PAPER WORK. I asked the cops if they had a SEARCH WARRENT to look for my daughter and my grandson, THE COPS SAID NO, SORRY WE DON'T. Then get off my property and leave me alone. That's what I told the COPS. They refused to leave and said I needed to take this matter up with CPS. I replied, no sorry officer, i am taking it up with you, because you are the one that are here. They left. Not saying a word, they just left.
So, CPS calls my daughter and threatens her with filing kidnapping charges on her if she doesn't return her son. She got scared and return him. They arrest her and charge her with custodial interference. Class 1 Misdermeter.
She is in jail as of today. CPS won't give me any visitation with my grandson. Oh, I almost forgot. When we seen him 3 days after they stole him he had a KNOT WITH A SCAB ON HIS FOREHEAD and DOG HAIR INSIDE HIS DIAPER, and SCREAMED AND GRABBED ON TO MY NECK WHEN I WENT TO PUT HIS DIAPER BACK ON, and HIS LITTLE BALLS WERE ALL RED, and WE FEED HIM MCDONALDS AND HE WAS STARVING HUNGRY.
I am up against a wall and I have called and reported to every lawyer, every government agency everyone I can, I have contacted. On monday I am going to file a petition against CPS and demand that they return my grandson, whom I have legal gaurdianship of. I do not know what I am to do to get him back.
CPS has more power than anyone. Everyone should know that YOU NEVER HAVE TO OPEN THE DOOR TO CPS. You don't have to speak to them. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAND OVER YOUR CHILDREN, unless they have a court order. They will promise you that they are there to help. Thats the biggest lie they will tell you. CPS get paid to take a certain number of children each month. This is their job, ifthey don't remove children they will loose their jobs. Nobody wants to loose their job, NOBODY
We picketed in front of the CPS office this morning. Wed. The local news called and came to my home and did an interview with me and my current situations with CPS. I was on tv!
Hoping that having the media coverage along with having a lawyer and have all the support of family, friends and employeer, along with a letter from every person I know that can write, HOPING that all this and with the love I have for my grandson he will be returned home with me and our lives will return to normal. He is my life and such a good baby. He is always smiling and laughing and he love me just as much. All this crap that CPS has put him through, is distroying his soul and it's so unfair and unjust and CPS is really the ABUSER and they FAIL TO PROTECT. CPS does not care about the children, they care about getting a pay check.
