First off my home was built 5 years ago. Me and my fiance were young and was definately taken advantage of by these scammers. Jim Walters made everything seem so easy and made themselves out to be a reliable homebuilder. Well after the house was finished to my amazement there were several things left undone. The first being NO UNDERPINNING! I could not believe that this was not included. The way the salesperson explained everything, underpinning was part of the deal.
Not only did the outside look horrible but the inside did as well.in the bathroom there was a huge hole beside the sink. You could tell that they made one of the holes too big for the outlet in one of the bedrooms and then tried to patch it up. I noticed places in a number of spots where they patched up either holes or the dry wall was uneven.
There was no insulation in parts of the house and there was a big hole on the ceiling on the front porch. There were rails going down the steps and one was white the other had never been painted.
Jim Walters Sucks and I really hope that anyone who is looking to purchase a home will steer clear from this company. They should not still be in business. Something needs to be done! The sad thing is that I'm paying them every month for a SUCKY job and a house that we have had to invest thousands of dollars in just to make it safe for my children and descent looking.
