Beyond incompetence. Complete thievery. Complete malfeasance. Total fraud

I hired this firm without thorough research. The elaborate website full of exagerated testimonials and fabrications sold me. My bad. I wont go into too much detail here. I dont need to.

First of all i was charged roughly 3x the status quo for such a case. That didnt bother me at the time. I believed " hey this guy must be good" and thats what i wanted. So i paid them $10,000 up front. Two thirds the entire fee. And this was only to get thru pre trial hearing. The first day in court the attorney appointed receives the police report. This is in november of 06. Clearly in the report it is stated that i was parked, not driving. Clearly i didnt get pulled over. About a month later i finally get to speak to him about my case. (mainly because he wanted the other $5,000) he continues to tell me my case looks great. "they cant do that" he says. "we will file a motion to supress the evidence" it should get dropped prior to trial he conveys to me. Then comes seven months of postponing, carrying over the date. Still no motion filed. So i think to myself that motion to supress must be some internal court thing. Ok so i have a court date june 20th. I got my suit together. I got a hotel out near the court house because it happened out of county. Im ready. Well 4:50pm june 19th (the day before the pretrial) i get a call from him. He proceeds to tell me " your case isnt looking good. You didnt get pulled over so the police do have probable cause." im flipping out. I tell him what? Cant you read, etc... And you waited till now to tell me this. You gotta admit this is chicken shit... For which he replied "im not admitting to nothin". Typical huh.

Bottom line i paid $15,000. Took countless days off work to postpone this around his schedule, not to mention the months of worry having this hanging over my head to get the same exact program i was offered prior to hiring him.

Ive filed a complaint with the california bar association as well. The state of california has a fund for compensating victims of fraudulent attorneys. Which they qualify for.
