Just as I said above.

You get hired as a fire safety consultant on salary of $50K. (Which after a few weeks of being there and already having the system installed in your house, you find out that the salary is only if you do 10 presentations a week, which they tell you is cake, and is nearly IMPOSSIBLE. Plus, training pay was supposed to be $1000. I didn't get that either, and I know that atleast 3 other people that were hired at the same time didn't either. (I oversaw this process over almost a 2 month period, and never once did I see anyone do 10 presentations) (But I did see new people coming and going every week)

1) its all commission unless you meet #2

2) You'd be working 75 hours a week to do 10 presentations unless you have 40 years experience, or know everyone you're presenting to (ie they suggest neighbors, friends, family). Or in Pete and Dave's case, just hiring everyone, so they think that they are getting the system for free.in reality, this is the majority of their business: selling it to people who think they are employees and will be making 50K a year. But, they aren't even selling it to them, they are ripping them off by making them believe its part of the employee benefits.

a) in order to start the job, you get a 'free' fire safety alarm kit installed into your house ($2-3k). They usually try to put it in the spouses name, therefore they can show that the spouse was never an employee. Plus, they get that system into your house as soon as possible, even before training.

B) and try to ask them a question... Their response will always be, "I will get to that later" (no they won't)

C) furthermore, you will get your bill (from time investment company, inc. They're sister company) in the mail for the system and thats when you find out that it is at a 21% interest rate. The amount due is less than the interest, therefore, you will be paying it for the rest of your life. The amount due will continue to go up rather than down.

4) tactics used in sales presentation...

A) they use scare tactics.

1) always call them (customers) mom and dad.

2) whenever talking about a fire put them and their children by name into that situation, and

3) NEVER SAY IF, ALWAYS SAY WHEN
FOR EXAMPLE, "WHEN LITTLE SUZY IS LAYING IN HER BED TONIGHT AT 3AM GASPING FOR AIR BECAUSE OF ASPHYXIATION, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?" "TELL ME YOUR EXACT STEPS", and most likely the parent will say, 'WELL ILL JUMP UP' AND YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO INTERRUPT THEM and say, "YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD" (During the presentation you're even supposed to go into the youngest childs room while you describe a fire scenario and point to the bed and say the child's name, even if the child is present!!!)

(Oh, and this goes on for AT LEAST, AT LEAST 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR and in most cases even longer unless you get kicked out... Scenario after scenario. AND ALL THESE PEOPLE WANTED WERE THEIR FREE BICYCLE...)

I could go on and on and on...
