There are two different things that have come to my attention about my apartment complex.in May, the office gave me a notice for my lease renewal. I called to make sure that nothing on my lease was changing because I wanted to hear it from them and I wanted to ask if I needed to sign anything or my father (who is my co-signer) needed to sign again. They told me that they did not anything signed. Now, here in August, I paid my rent for the first of the month and they sent me a fee that says that I owe more money. I went down and asked them why, and they "explained" that they upped my rent $121 without having me sign for the change or anything.
Needless to say, I was very upset and then showed them the pictures of the leak in my roof that has been going on for almost a year. There are holes in my ceiling and every time it rains, it rains in my house. I told them that I am sure there is mold and mildew growing and if nothing is done about it, I will move without the three months pay since they broke the lease by not keeping my apartment up. I turned to go, the manager (Lisa Rice) called after me and as I continued to keep walking, she yelled out after me in the street "GROW UP".
I was given a rat-hole to live in, treated like I was the one withholding money from them, and treated very unprofessionally. I am outraged by how this "professional" office treated me.
