JRP in Southfield is a SCAM!!! I found out so much about JRP in Southfield once I enrolled my daughter for the Elite Program paying $5900. This school should be put out of business for the SCAM they are running in Michigan. The talent scouts hired by Judi March owner of JRP in Southfield is taught one thing, prospect all parents who is willing to pay the high fees.By telling the parents of kids that they have potential and by taking classes at JRP they will be ready to audition well and get paying jobs. They tell parents that the money they folk over will be offset by the paying jobs that their kids will get once they graduate. The reality of it all is, JRP will never get your kids paying jobs or auditions to use what they've learned. The classes my daughter took were another SCAM. The teacher hired to teach the acting and modeling classes did not have any industry experience and taught the kids nothing that was valuable. They spent most of the 3 hours reading their manual and socializing in class while the teachers took long breaks. The teacher at JRP are lazy and tardy. Their lack of caring and wanting to hurry home was very disturbing. These classes at JRP is a complete waste of money and my time. The so call "open casting call" is a complete joke. JRP holds these open calls to solicite more guliable parents to believe that JRP classes will teach their kids everything they need to know about auditioning in front of real agents. When JRP give you a so called "call back" you feel great but it a way for them to collect the high fees for making you take the classes. JRP is nothing more than a lousy school, that will never ever get your kids any paying jobs. JRP will take credit for jobs that other talent agencies got for their students and make claims that it was because of their great teachers, what a bunch of bullshit. JRP treat people like they were born yesterday and they discourage parents to do research or ask any questions. When I asked Dawn Martin a talent scount at JRP who signed me up to provide me with JRP's placement rate, she just froze up and started making ridiculous excuses of why they don't keep records. When I emailed Judi March the owner of JRP in Southfield about her thought on justifying charging JRP parents up to $8000 when other school like hers were only charging $1400 for a lifetime membership she never replied back. When I tried to help out other parents with information about getting their kids exposed in this industry and letting them know about all the things I researched, Dawn calls me to threaten me and told me to keep my mouth shut. I am very angry because Dawn has no right to invade my freedom of thought and speech, her intimidation tactics to try to stop me from telling other parents about the lousy classes my daughter was taking was really affecting business of SCAMMING for JRP. My complete disgust and shock comes when JRP heavily promoted a talents scout from LA coming to Michigan to audition talents. I quickly learned that this is another way for JRP to get more money from JRP parents. The LA talent scout would always tell the JRP kids that they have great potential but that they need to take more classes. This help JRP talent scouts to extort more money up to $8000 from parents who doesn't know any better. JRP uses famous movie stars on their walls to promote their school, but they never tell you the truth. The famous movies stars they have hanging on their walls have never been associated with or taken any classes at JRP. JRP Southfield is probably the worst of the nationwide JRP because they don't have any students who are successful or note worthy. They cannot provide me with any names of students who they have gotten jobs for or even promoted. If a school claiming to be an agency doesn't have industry contact and is only their to sell their lousy classes and charge ridiculous fees, it's considered a SCAM. JRP prey on parent and kids dreams to becoming a movies star just like Lucille Ball, they have no morals or feeling of taking someones last savings money and giving back nothing in exchange. I wouldn't make such a big deal out of JRP not finding paying jobs for my daughter but the lazy and lousy classes they have, teaching my daughter nothing really makes me angry and I want to prevent other parents from being SCAM out of their hard earn money. JRP will never refund you your money even of the contract say it will, so once you pay you know you've just wasted a whole lot of money. Lastly, just because JRP has the BBB seal doesn't mean that they operate ethically or honestly. It just means that JRP can afford the high BBB membership fee. Make sure to go to your local Attorney General Office and ask for complaints filed on JRP in your area.
