Roof gave away toxic mold in home bowed walls floor fell threw windows bowing nails comming threw floor...
In june of 1994 we bought a manufacture home from clayton homes. This home was manufacture by Skyline Corporation and there are several defects in this new home.
There are no GFIC, the wall outlets are bowing out of the walls. The dishwasher works off of 15amp and a 20amp circuit breaker, there are wires crossing in the wall switch and one is a 14 and the other is 12-2 they couldn't explane the problem. There are 15 outlets on one 15amp circuit breaker and 8 on another, 12 on another but they say they are legal.
The windows are bowing outward, the intour doors to the bedrooms get stuck and cant hardly get out of the rooms, the smoke detectors are placed 24 inches from the peak which is totaly not code.
The roof fell through with me and I weigh 120 and the house is full of toxic mold from 1994 and from the roof giving away.
The sliding glass door has a wide creck and with the rain comming in the floor has give away. The walls are bowed and the ciling has water markes all through it.
Where the two halves of the home comes together whe strip is falling where they corked it many times than screwed it and split the stripping and left it.
There is a wide creck at the top of the ciling where the air flows through. There are nails comming through the floor and my hole family has been hurt by them it has even put my wife in the hospital several times for weeks with infection in her foot and leg.
The windows are bowing outward and if you try to raise them they hang and lodge on you, and also the storm windows won't latch and will fall on you if you raise them.
Cilings in the kitchen and over the bar are bowing downward. The master bath tub has never been used but has turned yellow after receving the home it use to be solid white.
They come to fix and messed up more than they attempted to fix. State came in and found 28 valations and they attempted a few thing and others they didn't bother with.
The roof is made of 2x2 and 2x3 lumber. If you would see the metel sheets they were to fasten to don't even attach to some of the lumber.
The home has leaked from the day we bought it, When we called and ask them to address to the problems they give us some half ass excuse.
They left 3 bundles of shangles off of the home and did't put them on till a year later.
The kitchen floor bows and the children go across the floor the chairs go downward, the two halves of the home has a gap between them. Walk across the floor and the floor has a sweek and goes downward.
The home in the winter is so cold we have to run the thermostat up to 80 and sometimes even higher to get warm. The rain runs right into my light fixtures and we can't use the lights for fear of getting shocked.
Their so called fixing the bowed walls was to cut the studs in the wall and screw another one to it but didn't put it to the ciling. Droped tools and put holes in the floor and didn't fix them.
Replaced the bathroom tile and didn't put the striping back. The ends of the home wasn't over lapped to keep out the rain and the master bath window is also bowing.
The home has gone down in value and it is listed as defective with the county tax assusser.
