I made several phone calls from Puerto Vallarta to the States on the hotel phone, because my cell phone does not work down there. Each call was about five minutes long, except for one which was around fifteen minutes.
When I came back home, I found out they charged me around $40 each for the five minute ones. The fifteen minute call cost $100.
There was no indication of the rates they were charging, not even in fine print. This practice is dishonest and, from my understanding, illegal.
I hope they go out of business soon.
