Galerie Concorde
Ripoff unethical dishonest art investment fraud broker Montreal, New York, Brussels

Do not buy "investment art" from Galerie Concorde
in Montreal, NY or Brussels! If you have been duped by Galerie Concorde, let's unite, recoup our investment and put them out of business.

In 1998 I was persuaded to buy $35,000 worth of investment pieces of art from Mitchell Field, a Galerie Concorde Broker in Montreal. I was told I was purchasing "internationally repudited artists whose art would appreciate significantly in value - even up to 100%. I received an OFFICIAL appraisal for each piece by Juris E. Poruks.

I contacted the Montreal Better Business Bureau and did not find any complaints against them - (However, I just did file a complaint! Please do the same if you have been defrauded by them as well.) I even visited their Montreal office 2 years later to make sure they were legitimate.

I was misled to believe that my accumulated investment value had reached over $100,000! Naturally, I was elated!

I called several times each year to check on the value of my investment. I was consistently told that my pieces had appreciated in value. When I decided to sell some of the pieces, I was told that my pieces were in first and second place on the international market.

It has been 5 years since I have requested Galeria Concorde to sell my pieces. I tried to sell them for funding for an Africa missions trip and international adoption. Despite all my requests, they have NEVER brokered my art pieces as promised -

In fact, for awhile, Harold Sendel, one of the owners, blamed the lack of sales to 9/11! I also had 4 different brokers - there is a very high turnover rate at this place. Then Harold Sendel had the audacity to tell me to broker my own pieces by taking out ads in big newspapers such as the New York Times!

When I contacted various galleries they had heard about the unethical business dealings of Galerie Concorde from other dissatisfied clients. To my chagrin, they could only offer me a fraction of what I had paid for each art piece.

I "invested" in several art pieces, including:

Peter Max - The Cosmic Runner, Stormy Sale, Liberty Robed Man and Vase
Norman Rockwell - Four Ages of Love, Dreamboats
Alexandra Nechita - City Runner
Leroy Neiman - Gretzky's Goal
Kay Ameche - Four Point
