Ripoff the sales representatives lied they destroyed my credit rating deceptive company

To Whom It May Concern:
I have been a charter customer for about 6 months if not longer and was recently disconnected from my service. I signed on with a promotion for basic cable months back for $9.95 a month for basic cable service and later upgraded to the digital mvp package only two months ago.

Again, I signed a contract that I was guaranteed digital service with installation for only $49.95 plus my old Directv receiver for trade and I was to receive a $300.00 credit or check in the mail to cover my service for six months or use the check for my personal use. Well, I never received a check for that amount nor did I receive credit on my account. My service was disconnected and I have since been with out any service at all. I spoke with a customer service representative on the phone and also at the local office here in Pleasanton, TX.

Neither one could answer my questions about this matter. They did however, inform me if I wanted service again that I would have to pay a reconnection fee and pay two months in advance. I don't understand why that is... Is it because I was disconnected or because according to the computer I had not paid my September bill? On October the 6th of this year a technician from

Charter came to collect $6.18 for the cable bill. I asked him if that was all and he replied... Yes. When I went to the office here in town on October the 25th the lady working there said that I had a balance of $50.02 to be paid for September... Again, I don't understand why if

I did not receive a bill for September. I brought it to her attention about the tech. Who came to collect money from me on the 6th and then she became frustrated with me and said "COME BACK HERE AND LOOK AT THE COMPUTER SCREEN!!!" I told her that it was fine that I could see the screen very clearly from where I was standing.

The same day my service was disconnected I spoke with two sales representatives that were selling the digital mvp package for $39.95 a month for six months. I signed another contract with them and I have yet to hear from anyone. On Monday October 29 I had another sales lady come to my door and ask if I would like to sign up with the service. Again, I explained to her my situation and told her I had spoken with two other sales representatives and had not heard anything from them either.

She said she would give me a call back that day or come by and install the service. She never called or came back.

I am somewhat upset that the lady at the office was not helpful with my situation. I am also very unhappy that now I don't have a Directv receiver to view programming with that service. If I want to view their service I have to buy a new DirecTv System. I am also unhappy that my trust with Charter Communications was betrayed. I strongly feel that I should have at least gotten an apology from the lady at the office. Is this the way Charter Communications deals with their customers by lying and cheating them out of money and equipment?

Worse than that, I recieved a bill from directv for $249.00 for services that I had used... I explained to the directv people that I didn't have the receiver and that I traded it to Charter... DirecTv told me that I needed to pay the bill or they would report me to the credit bureaus... So now I can't get any Cable or Satellite service in my home because of Charter Communications... I am extremely disappointed... What can I do? I am just one individual not an entire corporation...
Thank You for your time...
