This company sent me a letter in the mail had me pose as a secret shopper. The sent me a 2900.00 check and in the letter it broke down what I was suppose to do with the 2900.00 dollars. My pay for this assighnment was 400 dollars. The funds to be sent through the money gram were2450.00, the letter said also stated that a 50.00 charge for the money gram would be charged so it was well broke down. So be the faithful person I am went to the bank cashed the check and I asked the woman if she verified the funds on a check this large, she change subject or didnt hear me but anyway she cashed the check. I did what the letter told me to do and 5 days later/yesterday my bank had took 2900.00 out of my acount and put it in a pending status. I went in fussing and outraged i spoke with the asst. Manager she called the bank and told me a stop payment had been put on the check. I asked her how Bank of america could take money from me and put my acount in the red/negative 2900 dollars plus all the 35 dollar fees for all the things I had pending. Basically my bank told me this was my fault when it clearly was not because they should have checked on a check that large and she said qoute you have been with us for 4 years and we truted your judgement and sent me on my way to handle this by myself! But I havnt stopped there tommorrow is another day! Im not saying The shopping corner inc. Did this, maybe an employee did this I dont know! All I know is that the letter has their name on it there address phone and it matches the website's info. I didnt see a fax number though! Somehow I feel somewhere ive been screwed over. I know my bank is screwing me because they didnt even open an investgation in this matter. I know my mother in law had something done to her like this and her bank took care of everything! I have the moneygram and the letters and I would really like some help at this point because Im barely making it on what I make now and I get paid tommorrow and guess what its direct deposit so someone put my account in the negative I have no groceries / bills due and now I have know way of paying them...
