Karen Aflalo is in a sweet money making spot as a Director of HR of publicly traded company GFI Group www.gfigorup.com where she is the sole person to pick consulting agencies as well as permanent placement firms. Guess what: if you are not presented by the "approved by Karen" firm where she gets a kick back, you have no chances of getting the job no matter how good of a skills you have. After all Karen deserves it: she lets you in to work in such a great environment and definetely she is under paid by company and needs to be creative in finding the ways to make more moneys: may be that is the reason she still did not make it to her dream job at Goldman Sachs
