Be aware that this person/company is not licensed by the State of Michigan to do any kind of remodeling.
He came across as a nice guy who was trying to bounce back from lots of bad luck. He was constantly asking for money to move the project forward.
He promises a lot and spends lots of time talking about the expensive materials he is using. A bit of a tactic to justify walking away from the job I would guess. What work he does is of very low quality.
Very bad experience with this man. Shame on us for not checking him out and trusting him when he told us he is licensed.
Another bad sign: he has done business under several different names over the past few years.
Among his past names: Windgate Painting, Morning Star Painting and now Royal Touch Painting dba Royal Touch Remodeling and Painting.
A bitter lesson learned. The tutor in this case is unlicensed contractor Marash Mike Dukaj currently based in Troy. Formerly in Fenton, Swartz Creek, Shelby Twp, Bloomfield Hills, and Sterling Heights. Seems to move and change business names a lot.
Just be aware, MARASH MIKE DUKAJ no matter what business name he is currently using is not licensed.
