To Keep It Clean looked and sounded professional from their website, but has turned out to be completely unprofessional in their business practices. They claimed that if you got the Move-Out cleaning, they guarantee the landlord will be satisfied or they will come out and clean for another half an hour. Sounded good to me.
I first called and left a message for a new service and did not receive a call back, so I called again and spoke to someone directly. I ordered a "Move-Out" service. I was told that I could not pay with a credit card because "it cost too much for them to use it on one-time services". Okay, I agreed to pay cash at the time of the service. I was told a price, and so we paid in cash after the service (yet we were not given any RECEIPT).
The place is an appx. 700 sqft. Condo with 4 windows, yet in 4 hours of cleaning the floors were left sticky, the window sills were dirty, blinds not wiped down, and spider webs in corners—just to name a FEW of the glaring problems.
No problem, I told the landlord—they guarantee that they will come back and clean to your liking (or at least another half an hour). The landlord called up the company and they were immediately defensive: the place was too big to clean in 4 hours. She asked them to come out for their "complimentary" half hour cleaning and they scheduled a time BUT NEVER SHOWED UP.
I called, left messages, wrote emails, and no one from To Keep It Clean has contacted me. When I did get through to an operator, I was told that we did not pay for the Move-Out service, only a 4-Hour cleaning. But, I ordered the Move-Out service. With no receipt, how can they prove that? Also, their webpage shows the price for the 4-hour service, but not the Move-Out service, so how am I supposed to know the price of the Move-Out service that I specifically ordered per their GUARANTEE.
To date, they have not contacted me. My landlord filed a complaint with BBB, as will I. I offered to give them my forwarding address to refund my money, but, surprise, have still NOT RECEIVED A SINGLE CORRESPONDENCE FROM "TO KEEP IT CLEAN".
My landlord took many pictures of the place, after the "cleaning" but has yet to email them to me. Maybe she will leave a review here and post them herself. Pictures are worth a thousand words.
