This "company" tricked our employee into verifying the address - then shipped their product to that person's attention. Ironically, our business was closing the next week, so I contacted them to request a return authorization and shipping label. I knew something was wrong when I got an answering machine and had to leave a message. When someone did return my call, he got verbally abusive and argued that my employee did order this product and would not allow me to return it!
I advised that our business was closing the following week and there was no way our worker would knowingly authorize a purchase. He called me a jerk. I hung up.
Seething mad, I sent them a fax that our shop was closing and if they want their product back that they needed to come get it and since I did not authorize the purchase - I refuse to pay for it. I received a letter stating: "If you are closing as you stated in your fax as of 1/30/07, then you have nothing to be concerned with." What? I am the business owner and still have to deal with the collection agency and claim for funds.
