I purchased a Cassidy Home back in October and closed on it June 22. Let me tell you that this was one of the WORST experiences I have ever encountered! Unlike their motto "Your Florida Dream Home Builder"... This has been a complete NIGHTMARE.
To make a long story short, this builder has consistently disappointed with their HORRID customer service, rude treatment by their employees, and refuse to take accountability for their deceptive business practices.
We spent over $400,000.00 with this company, and I would assume I would get at least a little bit of respect... But only received lies and empty promises. Even at our closing, when our house was STILL not completed, they forced me to close, otherwise I would be in 'default' and lose my deposit. I reluctantly closed, and our house was FINALLY finished nearly 90 days later.
BUT... The biggest surprise came when we realized the land they said was ours, was NOT! They installed our sod and sprinklers far beyond the actual property line (we only found this out through the fence company we hired... When he noticed as he read our survey) When I notified Cassidy of this, their response was "Don't believe a fence guy!"
As I write this, it is now going on over 6 months since they said they would deed the land over to us... And they have yet to do anything. We are still watering and maintaining land that does not belong to us, and are embattled in a lawsuit currently against them... Not to mention we now have a home with a useless backyard!
I will NOT back down, as they are trying to intimidate me with their pathetic 'Defamation of Character' suit against me. (I had put signs all over my car out of frustration... Apparently, they were not amused)
Just wanted to vent here a little, and get the word out that if you decide to purchase a Cassidy Home, please do so with CAUTION... And have an attorney present at all times!!!
