I purchased four new tires from Cassidy, mounted, balanced and paid $60.00 extra for road hazard warranty. The tire manufacturer states they do not cover road hazard damage and that is why Cassidy sells you THEIR warranty. The warranty terms state that for non-repairable tires, which I have, a pro-rated adjustment will be made. I have 8/32 of tread left which is about 50%. I went to their store expecting to pay half price for a new tire and they said they would not cover the tire since is was out of manufacturers warranty, which has nothing to do with their warranty anyhow. They told ME to call Toyo tires myself even though it clearly states in their warranty book they do not cover road hazards. Toyo has great customer service. They could not believe the way Cassidy was treating a customer so for GOOD WILL Toyo offered me a 50% discount on a new tire which is fine but now Cassidy is off the hook for their warranty and still has my $60.00. Cassidy needs to be held accountable. How many other customers paid that $60.00? Sound like pure profit to me.
