This is a message to them / Swift

I sat here and read all the stories on Swift. I kept saying, "Wow, we went through that too." My husband hasn't been paid for all the times they had him going to pick up empty trailers. They kept telling him he had missing logs and I was with him when he turned them in.

My husband and I had jobs and a life before Swift. Now because of all the lies and deceptions. We are losing everything. I won't stop til I can get some of you backing me, and we can put a end to companies like Swift. Most stories were identical to ours. How can our government stand by and watch companies such as these take hard working decent people and ruin their lives is beyond me.

It's time to make a stand! My husband and I have worked hard all our lives. We believe in being honest and making our own living, As well as all of the poor people on here. They had no problem sending me a bill for 7800.00 dollars. I should only owe only one for 3900.00. The instructors at the academy are the worst I had ever encountered.

I'm being charged one for in which I actually trained myself with the help of other students at the academy. Heck... I could have just went to my brother in law and borrowed his rig and just trained myself for free, but no. I thought this would be better.

I read so much bull on their training program before I went to Richmond. All I got was trainers standing around. Once in awhile they would help you if they felt you were going to hit something.
I wasted 3 weeks up there and then was sent out of the school. I had to hitch hike back to Eden to where my husband was at. They refused to get me a bus ticket home and I even told them I was stranded.

They didn't care that I was alone and had no way home. And being a female and having to hitch hike. I knew I had to do something quick. I was scared and had not a soul to turn to, but I knew I had to be strong and pray God got me home or to my husband safely.

These people that run Swift are scumbags. They didn't think about the danger they put me in by not making sure I got somewhere safely. They treated me like I was some kind of dog and just threw me out on the streets to find my own way home. It was the weekend, so my recruiter couldn't be reached til Monday.

So Monday I got it straightened out with my recruiter and decided not to get a case against them. I went to another school. (Private) in which was far more better training and there was no abuse there. I was harassed at the academy. I guess they were trying to discourage women from getting into the field. I saw a few other women there going through the same hell I was enduring. I'm not a quitter. I went on the other school and I went on to orientation and then with my husband.
He was already having problems with Misty in Eden.

I watched him try to contact her several occasions and she would never respond. Finally had to go to the terminal manager to get help quite a few times.
He would turn his logs in and they kept sending back messages to him that they were missing. I knew better. I was with him several occasions when he turned them in.

We didn't get much pay either. We went the first week with no money and had to get an advance to survive. That's how they keep you out there and they lie about your logs. We went several days at a time without eating because we didn't get paid what we were owed and they said it was because we didn't turn in logs on time.

I finally started questioning his DM and getting on her case. I guess since she was our Goddess and controlled us. She could tell the terminal manager anything and get her way. They let my husband go, but offered to get me another trainer. They told me I had not did anything wrong and I could stay on. I sat there that day in Kansas and watched my husband practically beg for his job. I have never seen him lower his dignity like that for anyone.

After he got off the phone. He looked at me and sadly said, " I'm sorry I got you into this mess. I thought it was going to be great for the both of us. They want you to bring a load back to NC." I replied, "Oh no. I haven't had enough driving to do this by myself." I got on the phone and talked to Ken and he talked to me like he was very sorry about our situation and said he would work with us once we got the load back to NC. I told him I couldn't do all the driving and he got a 3 day extension so my husband could help me get the load back to NC.

We got the load to NC and went home. They told me they would get us home once we got to NC. We got there and we had to get our own way home. I had to call my dad 140 miles away to pick us up. My dad picked us up and the following day. We got a hold of Mr. Ken. He called back and said he could do nothing for Nicolas. I was told I could go on with another trainer. I told them I had to think about it.

I waited til we were suppose to get paid to see if we had enough money for me to go and we barely had enough to pay part of the rent we were already behind in. I couldn't go on because I didn't have enough money to go with a trainer. They sent me a letter a few days later saying I quit because of marital, family and personal problems. Lies, all lies. My marriage had nothing to do with it.

My husband talked to me on the way back with the load and I agreed to go on with them til he got another job. I had to see if we had enough money for me to go. We didn't and they just screwed him getting unemployment... Another bunch of lies and they don't know what we actually went through out there to deliver thier loads.

They just ruin peoples lives and make people think we can make the big money and all we are is in deep debt. They have some nerve. All I can say is... All you out there that have been screwed by Swift and companies like them. We need to stand up and make our voices heard. They probably will come back on here and make me look like the villain. I know how they are. When I got with my husband. I was on the Qualcom alot sending messages and questions to the Eden Office.

If I had a problem and husband didn't know what to do. I either called them or sent them a e-mail. I know the ropes well. I probably got on Mistys nerves a few times and even challenged her wit... If she had any. I knew if I had a problem. The so-called driver managers were suppose to help us. Yeah right... Right into poverty. No more silence. If we don't do something. Who will? We need to make our voices heard to these companies and the governments that let them walk over us and ruin our lives. It's time to speak up!
