IDCSERVCO & Copy Com Distribution
Manipulating new staff into thinking they need to buy way overpriced toner when toner is actually free under service agreement. Ripoff

We recently had several temporary workers in our receptionist position. IDCSERVO or Copy Com Distribution somehow drilled them for information about our copiers and manipulated them into thinking that we needed to purchase toner when in reality, our toner is provided to us for free as part of our service agreement. Though our Toner is free, the market value is around $70, IDCSERVCO charged us over $400/each. Basically IDCSERVCO or Copy Com Distribution made it look like we ordered it so when the bill came in, we paid it. When we complained to IDCSERVCO they deny any responsibility and blame it on Copy Com Distribution. IDCSERVCO will give you a phone number for Copy Com Distribution that no one ever answers.

Though IDSERVCO denies responsibility, they say they can exchange the merchandise for other similary outrageously priced merchandise. At the same time they say they don't know the pricing, but if I tell them what I need they can find out. They say they serve over 20 suppliers, but they can't give me a price list but they can look up the price. Very fishy. They also say they've never had any angry complaints, but they have an F rating on the Better Business Bureau's website with 292 complaints.

Copy Com Distribution also has an F rating.

As the Better Business Bureau explains: Complaints against this type of company generally allege that telemarketers mislead customers in believing they are the regular supplier, misrepresent product offers, ship unauthorized orders, or charge exorbitant fees for supplies.

And... Complainants allege receipt of telephonic solicitation wherein the telemarketer misrepresents that; they are their normal office supplier, that an order has already been placed, that they are affiliated with a major equipment manufacturer, that price increases are imminent and since they were uniformed they can have the toner at the old price. Customers state that the prices charged are five times their normal supplier price, that they are not affilliated with their regular supplier, and that most have contracts for such services included with their equipment leases. The company responds to a few complaints by issuing call tags and credits and placing customers on do-not-call lists.in some cases, the company denies that it mislead the customer. Most complaints remain unanswered.
