It was mid afternoon when I was in the middle of a break my college classes when two what looked like reperable people approached my back door. They were selling magazine subscriptions and wondered if I would be interested in buying some. I told them what magazines I was interested in and then they told me the price 65.00 for two magazine subscriptions.
I told them there was no way I could justify paying that much for magazines when that could nearly buy me a brand new text book. So they said well you could pay half later and within 10 days send the rest. I cut them both seperate checks payable to AM press association just to get them out of my hair thinking that I could later cancel the subscription and get my 65.00 back.
Soon after they left I called the company and the lady simply told me to send a letter to them stating I want to cancel my subscription and that the company holds that first payment anyways untill they can cash both at the same time. Well they did cash my checks and now I cannot find the number to call and tell them off about this, I want by freakin' 65.00 BACK!!!
