Attempted ripoff, attempted fraud

There are two us that order supplies and parts for the company's copiers / printers. These fools have attempted to con both of us.

I was the intended target of most recent attempt. It started when I received a cartridge for an ink jet printer and a packing slip. I couldn't recall ordering this part, this was my first clue that something was seriously wrong! The second clue was that, on checking I found that we don't have any printers that use the cartridge that was sent to us. The third and final clue was our Accounts Payable person received an invoice for the cartridge in the amount of $655.00. I doubt that there is an ink jet cartridge in the world that legitimately sells for that kind of money.

Since then our Accounts Payable person and myself have received calls from these people. When they called me this AM I informed them, with diplomatically, that we knew they are scam artists and that we would not be paying them anyhing.

Should they call me again, I will not be diplomatic!
