Since december i have had some major incidents with a landlord by the name of shannon robinson. It has been a pain in the groin to get anything fixed and there is always an excuse. I moved from houston landing a new job. Shannon was very fast trying to get me to sign a contract.
Well in january the freezer went completley out. Well there excuse for calling me back was we can not get of hold of you it is long distance! Hello calling cards, cell phone lame excuse. And have problem me walking in the leasing office and told me to call them! Not everyone has phones with unlimited airtime!
I am disabled i am on ssi and i thought about calling the civil rights commision fair housing but do not know where to start.
Well took 2 weeks to fix actually put a brand new one in.
Then in april the washer in dryer that is IN THE APARTMENT to BEGIN WITH. Dryer stop working.
Shannon gave me the run-around and told me to call azuna. IT IS YOUR PROPERTY, STUPID YOU ARE THE LEASING AGENT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO CALL THEM! What i should have replied.
My grandfathers famous words we he was alive was you are not going to make your problem, my problem.
Well i was in a hurry (working, cleaning my clothes at the laundarmat) so i called azuma and they told me that is at one time the apartment complex leased the washer and dryer to the tenets but the complex had bought them all something that was not in the apartment contract explaining that.
So i was told to have the apartment maintence to do that.
Went to talked to her again stated she could not do anything because maintence does not know anything about washers and dryers. They don't repair them. (wheres the sign) last time i thought they called it maintence meaning mainting property not maintence exluding washer and dryers.
In may i had my father talk with shannon about the washer and dryer about the dryer being repaired. Her response i will let dallas look at it he owes me big time for what he has done.
Well a week later he attempted to look at it well the door panel was in the way and he could not repair that the maintence was supposed to do that.incompetant.
Well i had maintence come over, they removed it.
The washer dryer i was told that dallas will look at it and test the heating element because everything works but no heat in the dryer.
I then talk to shannon later on that week her response is your father is supposed to call dallas kind of in a arrogant demeanor.
Well TWO MONTHS LATER Dallas finally looks at the heating element. And tests it out. Well we found out that that is not the problem?
So i contact shannon again her response was i will have to talk to me owner i will call you by monday.
Guess what on monday no phone call, not suprising!
So i come on tuesday, shannon then told me you were not supposed to have that this was the only unit that had the washer and dryer the owner is acutally looking at coming in and throwing that peice of crap away and hauling it to the dumpster.
If you rent in austin don't rent here $540 month one bedroom $275 a month alief (suburb of houston texas) quality!
By the way for the record you had to have good credit to move here not 0 deposit section 8 which i lived in and had lesser problems in west houston, texas!!
