Ripoff scam dangerous horses drugged horses not broke bad temperments not trained

I too, was taken by the cherryville horse scammers. However, I did get my money back.in the process, I could have been seriously hurt. I had explained in many phone conversions with Katherine that I wanted this horse to double with my 4 yr. Old daughter on the trails. I was assured that there would be no problems whatsoever.

The horse got here and seemed fine, at the end of the week, the horse was spooking when I would feed him in the pasture, which he had not done previously. I had been working with him to meet me at the gate and he was doing fine. I would go up to him, pet, groom, and walk away. I had been doing this the whole week he was here. I did again another day into the second week, I did this a few times and would walk off from him... All was fine... Then, i walked off from him, got a bit away from and then heard hooves coming hard... I looked and he had his teeth bared running right at me. I knew I had a problem then. I did get away, but learned i am not as young as I used to be.

Then came the trail ride. I was smart enough not to take my daughter with us, knowing already we might have a problem horse. Before we even left the property, he spooked badly 4 times before we even left here. The trail ride was not any better. He didn't spook at the log trucks going by, but did spook at a log on the trail, a dog, the slight breeze, another horse, all the things that would not normally spook a horse on the trail, he spooked at.

When He first got here, I rode him in a halter and lead line, he did not neck rein, or back up as I was promised.
I called, took them the horse back, I was told that they would act as my agent and resell the horse for a cost of $500. Within 2 weeks, I had my money back, minus the cost of the overnight money order. I did not get my hauling fees back, but I did all the cost of the horse back.

I was told the average turnover for their horses there was 1 to 2 weeks on average. That is certainly not enough time to get to know what all a horse will do and not do. I was very lucky in the my daughter was not with me and noone was hurt in this incident... This time. I know I am the lucky one in all of this... There are many more like me and some have been injured. I found out about them way too late for me. But hopes this helps someone else in making a horse purchase.
