I applied for employment with LOGEX Corp., [a Calif. Based crygenic logistic supplier]in Bozrah, CT. One requirement for employment was that I had to purchase steel-toe safety shoes and the company would reimburse the cost up to $75.00. I complied and made the purchase. After working there for just a short while I decided that work with highly volatile chemicals [liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon] was not for me.
There was too great a chance for injury. So, after a few days I resigned. I requested my reimbursement from the company and all I got was..."Sorry, but you didn't work here long enough to warrant a reimbursement".
I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to work for this company. Besides the reimbursement, their payscale leaves a lot to be desired. You are not compensated properly for your time. I'm really sorry that I ever went to work for this "bottom of the barrel" company. Other companies in the same field, such as PRAXAIR, take real good care of their employees and they don't try to stiff them like LOGEX does.
