I have worked for Delta Home Care for the past 5 months and I was on a errand for a client, when a car ran a red light and hit me and totaled my car. Delta Home Care said they would file workers comp for me and they would take care off everything, but I needed to go to their doctor and they would call me Monday to give me the doctors name and all. Well, I was injuried in the wreck and messed my knee, shoulder, neck and back up.
I called them 4 times Monday to get the doctors name and they kept telling me that someone would call me back in 10 minutes. Nobody ever called back.
Tuesday morning I called them back and then they fired me because they say I should not have been doing an errand. They don't want to have to pay me for having having to miss work.
They threatened that they were going to take my last check and that I would not get it. This company can not keep no one working for them and now I know why.
My mom worked for this same company and was injuried at a clients home and they fired her.
They rip off the Medicaid company. They get money from the insurance company for their clients even if their clients are not there.
If you or your kids have a doctors appointment, you can go, because they will tell you don't have a choice. You do have choice. If a health care agency is going to do that they need to be shut down! If you are sick you should not be allowed by law to sit with sick patients. They could and will get sick. Believe me. I had to.
