I was injuried in west Virgina and 2 day after surgury they had me on a plane to go back to chattanooga, tn so their doctor could take care of my injuries. They put me in thier dirty hotel and I was their for a week before they could get me in to one of their doctors and i got an infection. While the time I was in there hotal I ask to get my bed changed and all the maid said that I was not intiled to have my bed changed until I was thier for 2 weeks, even thou I was in a wheel chair and unable to do it myself. The first Doctor they ad me see ordered me to have someone to take care of me and for me to be placed in a handcap room. The room they put me in was even big enough for me to move around in my wheel chair and i was unable to get in to the restroom with it. Finely i was seen by a specialist and he place me in the hospital 30 sec after seeing that my surgury injurie had been infected with MERSA and strep. After spending a month in the hospital. I was sent home for 2 weeks. When I return to see the doctor they said i could do light duty work. They say they will give you the ablety to work 40 hrs a week and they take 40hrs it from your workman comp payment but they do let u work the 40hrs only 37.5. Their workman comp driver will take you only to your appointments and not any where else and if your in a wheel chiar like i was he will only work with you only one time day so after my appointments he'll take you back to the hotel and not to where u can finish your work day. But the Company still take the 40hrs from your workman comp payment. If you choise to go home for that you can't live on the money they give you from workmans comp then they will fight you to pay you any income while your recoving. Most resently after I finly got to be treated here in my home town by a doctor, I was referred to an other doctor for a second opion and was told I was not able to have the next surgury the doctor stated that i would need to be seen by a pain management and rehab doctor to find out what my limitation was I went to my treating doctor and was refered to a PM & R doctor in my area. That doctor said that I was totally and permently disable and would not be able to return they suddenly said I was not able to see him for he isn't autherized any more and now they have stopped paying me again for they say i had no refereal to him. Now im fighting for my income again and having to apply the desion of department of labor. The list of doctor they sent me to choise from all of told me take they will sent me back to work. I ask that they ment that if I was able to return to work they would send me and they state that they will send me back to work. I asked my PM&R doctor what he thought. He said that the doctors on the list will send me back to work no matter what that they work for the insurance company not for you.
