I moved to Florida from Texas and was employed by the Garage Door Professional, Inc. I was already a very skilled installer and did not need anyone to train me. I was promised a job, but was not aware of the repercussions of signing the non-compete agreement.
Now I am being sued by Tom and Tina Branch because they think I am a threat to their business. I am just one person trying to scratch out a living for me and my family. I so not see how they can reasonably sue me for trying to live.
I would love to know how many other poor soles there are out there that have been signed into this unconstitutional document. It is totally unreasonable for a company to require such a document. The profession is too broad to put such constraints on me. Now I may have to move just to get employment or be sued.
